South Korea claimed East Asia Championship title. They prevailed against Japan in the championship game tonight. Yang Dong-Geun (182-G-81) provided 26 points to lead the winners.
South Korea bravely entered the game. They quickly surged ahead and enjoyed a 25:13 lead after ten minutes. But Japan reacted in the second term. Japan outscored their opponents 24:15 in the second term to narrow the deficit at three points 37:40. But South Korea continued to mount the pressure in the third frame. The Korean side unloaded 23 points and boosted the margin to 9 points at the final intermission. South Korea stayed aggressively offensively as they poured in 26 points in the fourth quarter and sealed the win at the end. Kang Byung-Hyun (193-G-85) delivered 20 points and 6 rebounds for South Korea. Cho Sung-Min (197-F-83) added 19 points in the victory. Kosuke Takeuchi (206-C/F-85) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds for Japan. Takuya Kawamura (193-G-86) provided 12 points in defeat.

Bronze Medals game
China - Taiwan 87:53
China wrapped up their East Asia Championship campaign on a high note. They cruised past Taiwan to earn the Bronze medals. Meng Duo (192-G/F-90) stepped up with 22 points to lead the effort.
China quickly grabbed the initiative. The hosts posted a 23:15 lead after ten minutes. China boosted the margin to 13 points in the second frame. But Taiwan did not surrender and cut the deficit at 8-point mark at the interval. Peng Duo erupted for 11 points in the third frame and China cleared off to a 27-point distance at the final break. The hosts coasted to the victory afterwards. Zhang ZhaoXu (221-C-87, college: California) provided 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Hanlin Dong (208-F-91) added 12 points in the victory.
