Using only 9 players, with Zhu Fangyu, Sun Yue and Zhang Bo serving FIBA suspensions, China thrashed Hong Kong 104-43 in the East Asia Championship. China and South Korea have 1-0 records in Group A and will meet tomorrow. Overmatched Hong Kong has an 0-2 record.

Meng Duo (192-G/F-90) led China with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Yi Li had 18 points and 6 assists. Yu Shulong scored 17, hitting 5 of 7 three-pointers. Su Wei had 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. 7-3 Zhang Zhaoxu had 10 points and 17 rebounds against vertically-challenged Hong Kong. Dong Hanlin had 7 points and 8 rebounds. Han Shuo had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Mo Ke had 3 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists.

But we won't truly know how good these players are until they face South Korea tomorrow.
