The most important game in the last round took place in Nanjing between third ranked Guandong Tigers (19-9) and nineteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (8-20) on Friday night. Guandong Tigers were edged by Jiangsu Dragons in a tough game on the road 92-93. Jiangsu D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Guard Zhenglin Pang (183-1971) saved the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 assists. American forward Feron Hunt (203-1999, college: SMU) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American center Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) replied with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for Guangdong ST. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Jiangsu D. maintains nineteenth position with 8-20 record. Guangdong ST at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Jiangsu D. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Guangsha L. in Hangzhou in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Guangdong ST will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Blue Whales is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 27th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Rockets (14-13) 80-56. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Darius Bazley (206-2000) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 10 rebounds and Zavier Simpson who added 9 points and 5 assists during the contest. Hanyi Jing (195-1999) responded with 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ningbo R. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Shanxi L. Sichuan at the other side still closes the standings. Ningbo R. will play against Guangzhou (#16) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Sichuan will play against the league's leader Shanghai (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Ducks (17-10) and Sturgeons (11-16), which took place in Jinjiang. Higher ranked Ducks lost to fifteenth ranked Sturgeons in a road game 104-109 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ducks. The winners were led by QJ Peterson who scored that evening 38 points (!!!). Even a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds by Javale McGee did not help to save the game for Beijing D.. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sturgeons have a solid three-game winning streak. Fujian S. moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Jilin NE T. Loser Ducks keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Fujian S. will meet at home higher ranked Shanxi L. (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Beijing D. will play against Liaoning (#8) in Yingkou and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 32: Tianjin P. was smashed by Shandong H. on the road 115-91. Guangsha L. won against Beijing on its own court 97-86. Xinjiang was outscored by Shenzhen L. in a road game 109-77.
The most impressive performance of 32th round was 21 points and 4 assists by Markell Johnson of Shenzhen L..




Fujian S. - Beijing D. 109-104

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Ducks (17-10) and Sturgeons (11-16), which took place in Jinjiang. Higher ranked Ducks lost to fifteenth ranked Sturgeons in a road game 104-109 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ducks. Fujian S. made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American point guard QJ Peterson (183-1994, college: VMI, agency: JCK Sports Group) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!) and forward Yang Zou (198-2000) supported him with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sturgeons have a solid three-game winning streak. Fujian S. moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Jilin NE T. Loser Ducks keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Fujian S. will meet at home higher ranked Shanxi L. (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Beijing D. will play against Liaoning (#8) in Yingkou and hope to secure a win.

Shandong H. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Pioneers's 38 and made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Shandong H. outrebounded Tianjin P. 47-29 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Shandong H. looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The winners were led by American Marquese Chriss (206-1997, college: Washington) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and the former international point guard Shiyan Gao (186-1996) supported him with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Five Heroes players scored in double figures. Even 28 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Scottie James Jr (202-1996, college: Liberty) did not help to save the game for Tianjin P..
