The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Liaoning Hengye as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Liaoning Hengye defeated 5th ranked Fujian Nanan in Anshan 98-82. Liaoning forced 19 Fujian Z. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Fujian Z.'s players. American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (185-1996, college: Louisville) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and chipped in 24 points and 4 steals during the contest. Liaoning Hengye's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St., agency: DITR) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Fujian Z. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Fujian Z. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Liaoning will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Xiamen at home.
Very significant was Sichuan's (#5) 27-point road victory against 6th ranked Wuhan 84-57. American-Bulgarian center Khaalia Hillsman (196-1996, college: Texas A&M) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Natasha Howard supported her with 14 points. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) did not help to save the game for hengfan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sichuan maintains fifth position with 6-4 record. Wuhan at the other side keeps the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Shanghai and Xinjiang. Sichuan will play against higher ranked Shandong (#3) in Penglai in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. There were no shocking results in the other games in round 10: Shaanxi was destroyed by Shanghai on the opponent's court 97-64. Xinjiang outscored Zhejiang in a home game 99-78. Hefei rolled over Ganzhou on the road 103-67. Henan crushed Xiamen on its own court 100-73. Guangdong smashed Hebei in Dongguan 96-71. Beijing lost to Shandong at home 96-100.
