Very expected game in Shanghai where 12th rankedRed Wolves (1-9) were crushed by seventh ranked Swordfish (5-5) 97-64 on Saturday. Shanghai dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Red Wolves 's 30 and had 26 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Shaanxi only scored ten points from the stripe. They outrebounded Shaanxi 58-40 including 20 on the offensive glass. Shanghai looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Chennedy Carter (175-1998, college: Texas A&M) fired a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Ruthy Hebard (192-1998, college: Oregon) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. American-Bulgarian center Khaalia Hillsman (196-1996, college: Texas A&M) produced 14 points and American forward Natasha Howard (188-1991, college: FSU, agency: LBM Management) added 4 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shanghai moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Xinjiang and Wuhan. Shaanxi lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Zhejiang.
