There was no surprise in Hengshui where 9th rankedPower (3-7) was outplayed by top-ranked Vermilion Birds (10-0) 96-71 on Sunday. Guangdong outrebounded Hebei 47-26 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guangdong looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hebei 's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guangdong made 8 blocks. Wenxia Li fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Bai Like chipped in 5 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Nigerian-British center Temi Fagbenle (193-1992, college: USC) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) and Wang Wang added 23 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vermilion Birds have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Loser Power keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Beijing.
