Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Liaoning Hengye as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Liaoning Hengye smashed 5th ranked Fujian Nanan in Anshan 106-85. Liaoning dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian Nanan's 46. Liaoning looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Fujian Z.'s players. It was a good game for American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (185-1996, college: Louisville) who led her team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 13 assists. contributed with 42 points (!!!) (on 19-of-24 shooting from the field) for the winners. Liaoning Hengye's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St., agency: DITR) answered with 28 points for Fujian Z.As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Jiangsu. Fujian Z. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Fujian Z. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Liaoning will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Fujian Z. in Putian.
Important game to mention about took place in Dongguan. Leader Vermilion Birds (9-0) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Flame (6-3) 72-69 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Flame. American guard Aliyah Collier (183-1997, college: Clemson) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Shuyu Yang chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was American center Queen Egbo (193-2000, college: Baylor) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. Flame's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Undefeated Vermilion Birds have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Shanxi at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Shandong. Guangdong will play against Hebei (#9) in Hengshui in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shanxi will play on the road against the league's second-placed Jiangsu (#2) in Nanjing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Wuhan was outscored by Shanghai in a road game 93-58. Shandong managed to beat Zhejiang at home 81-78. Winless Ganzhou was crushed by Xiamen on the opponent's court 112-78. Shaanxi was beaten by Xinjiang in a home game 72-82. Jiangsu won against Sichuan on the road 95-86.

Henan forced 20 Fujian Z. turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Henan looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Fujian Z.'s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Henan made 8 blocks. American point guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (175-1996, college: Maryland) nailed 27 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and Nigerian-British center Temi Fagbenle (193-1992, college: USC) accounted for 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Five Henan Phoenix players scored in double figures. Henan Phoenix's coach felt very confident using entire bench saving starting five for next games. We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Beijing Great Wall (3-6) lost to tenth ranked Power (3-6) in Hengshui 75-80 on Wednesday. Hebei looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Xiaotong Peng nailed 26 points and 8 assists for the winning side and Kayla Davis accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. American center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Tiffany Mitchell (175-1994, college: S.Carolina) added 12 points respectively for Beijing in the defeat. Beijing Great Wall's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hebei moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Beijing. Beijing lost their third game in a row. Hebei will meet at home league's leader Guangdong in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beijing will play against Shandong (#3) and hope to secure a win.

Shanghai dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to hengfan's 24. Shanghai outrebounded Wuhan 44-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Chennedy Carter (175-1998, college: Texas A&M) nailed a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and her fellow American import forward Ruthy Hebard (192-1998, college: Oregon) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds. came up with 19 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and American power forward Peyton Williams (193-1998, college: Kansas St.) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Wuhan in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shanghai moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Xinjiang. Loser hengfan dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Sichuan. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory.
