Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Fifth-ranked Liaoning Hengye (11-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked hengfan (17-4) in Wuhan on Friday. hengfan managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Liaoning Hengye. They outrebounded Liaoning 46-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Chennedy Carter (175-1998, college: Texas A&M) who scored 40 points (!!!), 7 assists and 5 steals. The other American import power forward Peyton Williams (193-1998, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-1993) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Liaoning Hengye's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. hengfan have a solid four-game winning streak. Wuhan maintains first position with 17-4 record. Liaoning at the other side dropped to the third place with ten games lost. They share the position with Shandong. Wuhan are looking forward to face Liaoning (#6) in Anshan in the next round where they are favorite. Liaoning will have a break next round.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Shanghai. Third ranked Swordfish faced their close opponent Sports Lottery. Host Swordfish (14-7) defeated guests from Penglai (11-10) 84-79. It was a good game for Brazilian center Kamilla Cardoso (201-2001, college: S.Carolina) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Arella Guirantes contributed with 20 points and 9 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Yang Hengyu (194-1995) replied with 17 points and 6 rebounds for Shandong. Swordfish have a solid three-game winning streak. Shanghai maintains third position with 14-7 record having just two points less than leader Wuhan which they share with defeated Shandong. Shandong at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost. They share the position with Liaoning. Shanghai will play against league's leader Sichuan in Chengdu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shandong will play on the road against the league's second-placed Guangdong in Dongguan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Chengdu. Top-ranked Yuanda faced second-best Golden Bulls. Host Yuanda (21-0) smashed guests from Yiwu (12-9) 102-61. Worth to mention a great performance of Xiao Tong who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds. Yuanda's coach Milos Paden felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Zhang Min with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Undefeated Yuanda have an impressive 21-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-0 record. Loser Golden Bulls keeps the second place with nine games lost. Sichuan will meet Shanghai (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Zhejiang will play against Jiangsu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 24 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Fujian was defeated by Guangdong in Dongguan 96-81. Xinjiang was beaten by Jiangsu at home 57-66. Shanxi won against Hebei on the opponent's court 91-82. Heilongjiang managed to outperform Ganzhou in a home game 81-67. Henan managed to beat Tianjin on the road 87-75. Xiamen was crushed by Hefei on its own court 59-110. Beijing was beaten by Inner M. in Hohhot 84-68.

Guangdong - Fujian 96-81

There was no surprise in Dongguan where 6th ranked Fujian Nanan (1-20) was defeated by second ranked Vermilion Birds (15-6) 96-81 on Thursday. Guangdong dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian Nanan's 40. They outrebounded Fujian 43-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. Guangdong looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Aliyah Collier (183-1997, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and international forward Yang Shuyu (182-2002) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Vermilion Birds players scored in double figures. Vermilion Birds' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Min Fang (170-1998) with 26 points and 4 assists and American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Guangdong maintains second position with 15-6 record behind leader Wuhan. Loser Fujian Nanan keeps the sixth place with 20 games lost. Guangdong will meet at home Shandong (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fujian will play against the league's leader Shanxi and hope to win that game.

Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Luo Xinyu (187-2001) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center Xu Chenyan (200-1999) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Dariauna Lewis (185-2000, college: Syracuse) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Wu Yifan (184-1995) scored 13 points. Jiangsu maintains fourth position with 10-11 record. Xinjiang lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Hebei. Very expected game in Hengshui where 6th ranked Power (2-19) was defeated by first ranked Flame (16-5) 91-82 on Friday. Shanxi made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Shanxi outrebounded Hebei 41-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Olivia Nelson-Ododa (196-2000, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) and forward Ruoyun Zhai (182-1998) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Flame's coach Momir Tasic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Taiwanese Peng Shiqing (174-1991) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Li Bingzhen (172-2000) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Four Hebei players scored in double figures. Flame have a solid four-game winning streak. Shanxi maintains first position with 16-5 record, which they share with Heilongjiang. Heilongjiang outrebounded Ganzhou 38-20 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Heilongjiang looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (185-1996, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Zhou Yueming (170-1999) who added 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five Dragons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) with 25 points and 8 rebounds and guard Xu Yanxue (171-2001) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Hefei dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Xiamen's 26. Hefei forced 24 Xiamen turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hefei shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Xiamen's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Taiyanna Jackson (198-2000, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Taiwanese forward Xi-Ye Liu (173-1991) who added 20 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Hefei players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Sianni Martin (173-1996, college: UCF) with 13 points and center QI Cheng (191-1999) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hefei have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Xiamen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. Hefei will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Xiamen will play again against Hefei (#5) and hope to secure a win.
