Group A
Hong Kong - Maldives 115-45
Hong Kong fired past Maldives to earn the first victory at the Asian Games. Six players scored in double digits for Hong Kong. Wong Chun Wai (196-C-85) and Cheng Kam Hing (189-F-85) came up with 20 points each for the winners. Hong Kong built a 54:17 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Mohamed Zilaal (179-PG-85) responded with 12 points for Maldives.

Kuwait - Mongolia 82-81
Kuwait snatched a narrow victory over Mongolia to win Group A. Abdulaziz Mohammad (186-G/F-87) scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead the winners. Mongolia and Kuwaut were tied at 41 after the first half. Mongolia pulled ahead for a 5-point lead after three quarters of action. But Kuwait responded with a 24:18 run in the final stanza to seal the victory. Abdullah AlShammari (201-F-89) fired 12 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and issued 5 assists in the victory. Sanchir Tungalag (190-G-89) responded with 23 points and 9 boards for Mongolia. Uuganbayar Oyuntsetseg (183-G-88) had 12 points in the loss.

Group B
Kazakhstan - India 61-80
India fired past Kazakhstan to finish on top of Group B. Joginder Singh (175-G-88) came up with 25 points to lead the winners. India dominated right from the start. They built a 47:31 halftime advantage. They extended the margin at 19-point mark at the final intermission and cruised to the victory afterwards. Bhriguvanshi Vishesh (192-G-91) posted 16 points for India. Anton Ponomaryov (210-C/F-88, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 16 points and 14 rebounds as Kazakhstan finished second in the ladder.

Palestine - Saudi Arabia 71-89
Saudi Arabia edged Palestine in teh final game at the Asian Games Group B. Mohammed AlSager (179-PG-85) recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds to pace the Saudis as they occupied the third position despite posting two wins in three games played in Incheon. Palestine built a 6-point lead at the interval. But Saudi Arabia unleashed 55 points in the second half to escape with the victory. Marzouq Almuwallad (180-PG-92) delivered 26 points for the winners. Sani Sakakini (204-C-88) responded with 26 points and 16 rebounds for Palestine.
