Japan and South Korea make it into semifinal stage in Shenzhen

Japan - Taiwan 76-70
Japan rolled past Taiwan to stay in the title hunt. Taiwan led by three points after ten minutes. But Japan responded with a 47-33 rally in the next two quarters to pull ahead for good. Kokoro Tanaka (171-SG-2006) hauled in 24 points for the winners. Xiu-Zhen Liao (179-F-2006) replied with 16 points and 13 rebounds for Taiwan.

South Korea - New Zealand 86-66
South Korea coasted past New Zealand to secure the semifinal berth in Shenzhen. South Korea recorded a 54-33 halftime lead. New Zealand slowed their opponents down in the second half but South Korea managed to rally to the win at the end. Minji Lee (176-G-2006) recorded 25 points, while Hyun Jeong (180-F-2006) added 16 points for the winners. Rebecca Moors (185-SF-2006) answered with 13 points for New Zealand.
