China - Japan 89-76
China earned the fifth straight Asian Championship title. They topped Japan for the trophy in the Final tonight. Japan posted a 22:19 lead after the opening quarter. China tied things up at 38 heading into the second half. China used a 24:12 run in the third quarter to open a 12-point lead at the final break. They added 27 points in the fourth frame to ease to the victory. Li Yuan (170-PG-00) recorded 28 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the champions. Fang Zhuoya (166-PG-00) added 17 points in the victory. Chinatsu Umeki (166-PG-00) replied with 20 points for Japan.

3-4 Place
South Korea - Australia 58-75
Australia fired past South Korea to step onto the pedestal in Bengaluru. Miela Goodchild (178-G-00) scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead the Aussies. South Korea and Australia were tied at 28 at the interval. Australia stepped on the gas in the third term. They sank 26 points to take a 5-point lead. Australia ignited a 21:9 run in the fourth frame to race to the win. Agnes Emma-Nnopu (183-C-01) added 17 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Park Jihyun (180-F-00) and Lee Haeran (178-C-03) replied with 17 points each for South Korea.

FINAL
India - Kazakhstan 68-45
India clinched Division A promotion. They coasted past Kazakhstan in Division B Final tonight. Harshitha Bopaiah (00) came up with 20 points and 13 rebounds for the hosts. India claimed a 32:16 halftime lead. They followed with a 22:12 run in the third period to clear off for good. Pushpa Senthil Kumar (177-C-01) had 14 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. Inna Kulikova replied with 10 points for Kazakhstan.

3-4 Place
Hong Kong - Syria 68-75
Syria beat Hong Kong to finish third in Division B action. Noura Bshara was pivotal with 29 points and 12 rebounds for Syria. They led by just one point at the big break 34:33. Syria extended the lead at 5-point mark at the final break. They added 21 points in the fourth frame to seal the win. Anna Asianian had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Syria. Wing Nga Poon replied with 22 points for Hong Kong.







China and Japan to clash for title in Bengaluru - Nov 2, 2018

Division A
South Korea - China 51-69
China advanced into the Final in Bengaluru. They topped South Korea to enter the championship game. Mingling Chen (192-G/F-00) scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the winners. China posted a 39:25 halftime lead. They held South Korea to just 10 points in the fourth frame to race to the win. Ziting Tang (190-G-00) had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Park Jihyun (180-F-00) replied with 20 points and 10 rebounds for South Korea.

Japan - Australia 90-77
Japan outgunned Australia to reach the title game in Bengaluru. Australia eked out a 39:38 halftime lead. But Japan replied with a 30:12 run in the third quarter to surge ahead. Australia sank 26 points in the fourth period but came up short at the end. Nanako Todo (175-G/F-00) provided 21 points and 8 rebounds, while Ririka Okuyama (178-F-00) chipped in 17 points and collected 10 rebounds for Japan. Miela Goodchild (178-G-00) answered with 26 points for Australia.

Diivision B
India - Hong Kong 83-38
India coasted past Hong Kong to enter the Division B Final. The hosts piled up a 51:21 halftime lead. They went on a 17:2 run in the third term to clear off for good. Harshitha Bopaiah (00) delivered 18 points and 16 rebounds, while Dharshini Thirunavukkarasu (00) had 15 points for the hosts. Poon Wing Nga (166-F-01) replied with 11 points for Hong Kong.

Syria - Kazakhstan 56-76
Kazakhstan beat Syria to set up Division B title game versus India. Syria enjoyed an 18:17 lead after the first term. But Kazakhstan spurred ahead in the second term. They established a 37:32 halftime lead. Kazakhstan went on an 18:6 run in the third term to clear off. Inna Kulikova (168-SG-00) delivered 19 points, while Diana Bushmeleyeva (178-F-01) added 18 points and 18 rebounds for Kazakhstan. Noura Bshara (00) replied with 23 points and 19 rebounds for Syria.



Australia and China enter semifinals in Bengaluru, book U19 World Cup tickets - Nov 1, 2018

Group A
Australia - New Zealand 82-66
Australia held off their archrivals New Zealand to ensure the semifinal berth in Bengaluru. Six players scored in double digits for the winners. Isobel Anstey (191-C-01), Isabel Palmer (178-F-01) and Miela Goodchild (178-G-00) netted 13 points each for the winning team. Australia ensured a 41:25 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Ella Bradley (182-F/C-01) tossed in 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for New Zealand.

China - Taiwan 80-53
China drubbed Taiwan to secure their semifinal appearance. Li Yuan (170-PG-00) came up with 20 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds to lead the winners. China grabbed a 46:24 halftime lead. They went on a 22:16 run in the fourth term to ice the victory. Li Yuyan (185-G-01) finished with 16 points for China. Chen Yu-Chieh (180-C-02) replied with 16 points for Taiwan.

Group B
Iran - Kazakhstan 56-71
Inna Kulikova (168-SG-00) posted 26 points to lead Kazakhstan past Iran in Division B qualifying round. Kazakhstan recorded a 36:22 halftime lead. They followed with a 14:10 run in the third term to clear off for good. Mariya Zaitseva (190-C-00) tossed in 16 points and collected 20 rebounds for the Kazakh team. Sahar Goodarzi (164-G-02) answered with 11 points for Iran.

Hong Kong - Singapore 67-37
Hong Kong cruised past Singapore to advance into Division B semifinal stage. Hong Kong dominated from start to finish. They established a 29:15 halftime lead. They ignited a 21:7 run in the third term to run away for good. Wing-Nga Poon stepped up with 18 points for Hong Kong. Lee Briana (170-G-00) replied with 10 points for Singapore.
