Malaysia surprise Philippines on their way to the Final of the U18 Asian Championship Division B. Malaysia won 66-65 in overtime thriller to enter the Final game. Philippines started with a 16-13 run, but allowed the opponents to reply with a 23-14 surge in the second period. Philippines won the third and the fourth quarters, however fell short in overtime. Sammi Tan (175-C-2005) scored the last points for the winners with less than 10 seconds to go.
Jia Yun (165-SF-2004) stepped up with 14 points and Xiao Teh (160-SG-2005) netted 13. Kate Bobadilla (170-G-2004) replied with 19 points in a loss and Liane Loon (172-SG-2004) brought 17.
