China and Taiwan advance into semifinals in Bengaluru

Quarterfinals
South Korea - China 53-70
China stormed past South Korea to enter the semifinal round. Li Qingyang (182-SF-2005) came up with 26 points and 7 rebounds to pace the winners. China earned a 35-28 halftime lead. They held South Korea to just 25 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Li Wenxia (181-F-2004) knocked down 17 points for China. Lee Dahyun (180-F-2004) answered with 14 points for South Korea.

Taiwan - New Zealand 77-67
Taiwan paved their way into the semifinal stage as they held off New Zealand. Taiwan grabbed a 27-9 lead ten minutes into the game. But New Zealand responded with a 45-29 run in the next two quarters to pull within two points. But Taiwan regained control in the fourth stanza limiting New Zealand to just 13 points and rallying to the win. Hsiao Yu-Wen (184-C-2005) produced 20 points and 23 rebounds, while Sung Jui-Chen (160-G-2004) added 18 points for Taiwan. Aria Cowley (170-SG-2004) tossed in 16 points for New Zealand.
