Asiabasket U16: Taiwan beat Korea in Group A action

Taiwan got to a winning start to their U16 Asian Championship campaign. They held off Korea for 1-0 record in Group A. Nian-Zhen Lin (165-F-2009) scored 26 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to pace the winners. Yu-Tung Chang (2010) accounted for 21 points for Taiwan.
Korea enjoyed a 24-20 lead after ten minutes. But Taiwan ignited a 35-11 rally in the second frame to secure a 55-35 halftime lead. Korea stiffened defensively in the second half. They held their opponents to just 33 points after the big break but came up empty at the end.
Damhee Kim (174-C-2009) notched 25 points and 16 rebounds for Korea.
