India survived a thriller against Iran to capture Division B title in Malaysia today. Viha Jonnalagadda (182-F-2009) scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to pace the champions. India and Iran traded baskets throughout the first half. The scoreboard read 32-32 heading into the second half. India went on a 20-10 rally in the third term to take a decisive lead. Iran pulled within two points late in regulation but Viha Jonnalagadda converted a key layup to seal the win for India. Aditi Subramanian (168-G-2009) recorded 19 points for the champions. Mobina Bereihi (2009) answered with 30 points for Iran.
3-4 Place
Indonesia - Hong Kong 51-30

Indonesia stepped onto the podium in Division B. They stormed past Hong Kong in the consolation final in Malaysia today. Indonesia established a 23-13 halftime lead. They went on a 23-6 rally in the third period to clear off for good. Racquell Hendyawan (163-SF-2010) and Gusti Krisabella (173-F-2009) posted 9 points each for the winners. Valerie Lau (170-SF-2009) and Wa Yan Leung (169-G-2009) netted 8 points each for Hong Kong.
