Division B. Samoa and Syria advance into Final

Philippines - Samoa 73-88
Samoa impressed the fans in Amman as they shocked Philippines en route to the Final in Division B. Samoa silenced their opponents in the first half. The Oceania team grabbed a 53-30 halftime lead. Philippines narrowed the gap in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Kira-May Filemu (178-F-2006) notched 36 points and 15 boards for Samoa. Azaleeah Oloapu (180-C-2006) had 18 points, 19 boards and 7 assists for the winners. Naomi Panganiban (163-PG-2006) answered with 15 points for Philippines.

Lebanon - Syria 63-78
Syria saw off Lebanon in the semifinal clash in Amman. Lebanon grabbed a 19-14 lead after ten minutes. But Syria responded with a 19-8 run in the second term to take a 33-27 halftime lead. The seesaw action continued in the second half. Lebanon regained the advantage in the third term but Syria poured in 32 points in the fourth quarter to snatch the win. Laila Agha (165-G-2006) posted 28 points, while Suzan Backour (174-F-2005) added 12 points for Syria. Nour Labban (170-G-2005) and Maygen Naassan (180-F-2006) answered with 14 points each for Lebanon.
