Australia - New Zealand 77-57
Australia recorded the first win at the tournament. They fired past New Zealand to open win count in Jordan. New Zealand eked out a 20-18 lead after ten minutes. Australia however responded with a 22-11 run in the second frame to take a 9-point halftime lead. Australia followed with a 37-26 second half run to ice the win. Isla Juffermans (191-C-2005) delivered 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Saffron Shiels added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Maia Jones answered with 12 points for New Zealand.

South Korea - Japan 51-82
Japan recorded the second straight victory in Amman. They overcame South Korea to stay undefeated. Japan went on a 23-12 run in the second term to open a 12-point halftime lead. They controlled the tempo in the second half and cruised to the win at the end. Kokone Ueno (176-G-2005) chipped in 14 points, while Kokoro Tanaka (171-SG-2006) added 13 points for Japan. Kim Sol answered with 14 points for South Korea.
