China celebrate Gold medals in Medan

China conquered the title in Medan. They stormed past Japan in the championship clash today. Li Yueru (192-C-99) came up with impressive 31 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. China unleashed 46 points in the first half to take an 8-point halftime lead. China maintained the lead throoughout the second half. They went on a 26:11 run in the fourth frame to celebrate the trophy. Wang Jiaqi (170-G-99) netted 27 points, issued 6 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds for the winners. Izumi Abe (167-PG-99) responded with 31 points for Japan.
3-4 Place
Taiwan - South Korea 52-60
South Korea outgunned Taiwan to clinch the Bronze medals at the championship. Park Hyunji (99) stepped up with 18 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the winners. Taiwan jumped to a 24:22 halftime lead. But South Korea used a 15:8 run in the third quarter to spur ahead. The Korean team dropped 23 points in the fourth frame and rallied to the victory. Lee Sohee (168-F-00) had 16 points in the win. Kao Yu-Lin (161-G-99) responded with 13 points for Taiwan.
