Japan - China 47-61 China proved their highest ambitions for the tournament rallying past Japan today. China therefore improved at 4-0 record on top of Group A. Li Yueru (192-C-99) stepped up with 26 points and 22 rebounds to pace the winners. China recorded a 35:32 halftime lead. They held Japan to just 15 points in the second half and marched to the win. Wang Jiaqi (170-G-99) provided 11 points for China. Haruna Kasagi (167-G-99) responded with 16 points for Japan.
South Korea - Taiwan 95-44 South Korea improved at 3-1 record in Group A. They held off Taiwan tonight. Five players scored in double digits for the Korean team. Lee Sohee (168-F-00) came up with 17 points for the winners. South Korea accumulated a 48:15 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Lee Jiwoo (173-G-99) netted 15 points for the winners. Kao Yu-Lin (161-G-99) replied with 9 points for Taiwan.
India - Thailand 58-90 Thailand claimed the first victory in Group A. They knocked down India to snap three-game losing skid. Rattiyakorn Udomsuk (174-G/F-99) scored 28 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for the winners. India led by a single point at the first break. But Thailand unleashed 79 points in the next three quarters to cruise to the victory. Thunchanok Lumdappang (176-C-99) connected for 18 points and 15 rebounds in the win. Sushantika Chakravortty (178-C-00) responded with 17 points and 13 rebounds for India.
Group B
Kazakhstan - Malaysia 80-87 OT Malaysia used overtime to tame Kazakhstan. Kai Sin Yap (165-PG-99) notched 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners as they improved at 2-2 record. Kazakhstan accounted for a 25:14 lead after ten minutes. But Malaysia used a 27:17 rally in the third term to level things up. The teams could not decide on the winner in the fourth quarter but Malaysia sank 14 points in the extra period and sealed the win. Rui Ling Wong (167-F-99) provided 21 points for the winners. Railya Mubarakova (179-PF-99) responded with 16 points and 13 rebounds for Kazakhstan.
Singapore - Uzbekistan 60-39 Min Sophia Su (166-99) nailed 10 points and collected 7 rebounds to lead Singapore past Uzbekistan. Singapore registered a 31:15 halftime lead. They boosted the gap at 24-point mark at the final break and cruised to the victory afterwards. Ng Tiana (168-99) and Yi Jayne (157-99) had 9 points each for the winners. Lola Aytpaeva (170-PG-99) responded with 10 points and 13 boards for Uzbekistan.
Indonesia - Hong Kong 47-54 Hong Kong upset Indonesia to stay undefeated in Medan. Lau Sheung Hok (162-SG-99) notched 15 points to lead the winners. Hong Kong established a 29:17 halftime lead. Indonesia narrowed the gap in the third term but Hong Kong slowed their opponents down in the fourth period and raced to the win. Wong Nga Man (166-SG-99) recorded 13 points for Hong Kong. Agung Nariswari (170-F-99) responded with 13 points and 10 rebounds for Indonesia.
