Group A
South Korea - China 53-78
China earned the second victory in a row in Medan. They overcame South Korea to remain undefeated. Li Yueru (192-C-99) tallied 25 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. China accounted for a 33:30 halftime lead. They followed with a stunning 25:5 rally in the third frame to clear off for good. Wang Mengqi (172-G-99) produced 13 points for the winners. Lee Sohee (168-F-00) replied with 10 points for South Korea.

Japan - India 113-39
Japan coasted past India for the second straight victory in Medan. Seven players delivered in double digits for the winning side. Japan built a comfortable 51:25 halftime lead. Japan held their opponents to just 14 points in the second half and coasted to the win. Itsuki Hashiguchi (178-C-99) and Rina Kajiwara (178-C-99) netted 16 points each for the winners. Rutuja Pawar (168-G-99) answered with 12 points for India.

Taiwan - Thailand 81-70
Taiwan rallied past Thailand for 1-1 record in Group A. Six players scored in double digits for the winners. Wen Si-Han (175-SG-99) scored 16 points to pace the charge. Thailand accumulated a 44:38 halftime lead. They boosted the margin at 8-point mark at the final break. But Taiwan responded with a furious 25:6 run in the fourth quarter to ice the victory. Shiau Shin-Jie (154-PG-1) accounted for 14 points in the win. Thunchanok Lumdappang (176-C-99) responded with 30 points and 14 rebounds for Thailand.

Group B
Kazakhstan - Hong Kong 50-80
Hong Kong recorded the second victory in Group B. They stormed past Kazakhstan for 2-0 record. Shek Man Nga (172-PF-00) delivered 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Hong Kong piled up a massive 19-point halftime lead 45:26. Hong Kong stayed in charge throughout the second half and cruised to the victory. Sham Tsz Ching (164-PG-99) had 14 points for the winners. Alexandra Saitova (164-SF-00) replied with 16 points for Kazakhstan.

Malaysia - Uzbekistan 72-53
Malaysia opened win count at the championship. Yee Von Chan (163-PG-99) came up with 20 points as Malaysia beat Uzbekistan. Malaysia recorded a 37:28 halftime lead. Malaysia accounted for an 18-point lead at the final intermission and never looked back en route to the win. Rui Ling Wong (167-F-99) had 12 points for the winners. Elvira Salavatova (183-F/C-99) replied with 18 points and 21 boards for Uzbekistan.

Indonesia - Singapore 52-46
Indonesia outscored Singapore to take 2-0 record in Group B. Agung Nariswari (170-F-99) delivered 12 points and 7 rebounds for Indonesia. They piled up a 15:10 lead after ten minutes. Singapore erased the deficit in the next two quarters. They tied things up at 33 heading into the fourth quarter. Indonesia dropped 19 points in the final period and iced the win. Clarita Antonio (178-C-99) delivered 11 points in the victory. Yi Jayne (157-99) answered with 20 points for Singapore.
