Very expected game when 5th ranked IraqiAl-Difaa (1-5) was defeated at home by top-ranked Lebanese Al Riyadi (6-0) 94-79 on Tuesday. Al Riyadi looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Marin Maric (211-1994, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) who scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-1994, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 23 points. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. Power forward Ihab Al-Zuhairi (210-1998) produced 25 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Al Riyadi have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending Lebanese champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. Al-Difaa lost fourth consecutive game. Defending Iraqi champion keeps the fifth place with five games lost.
