The game in Kuwait City was also quite interesting. Third ranked Saudi Arabian Al Hilal (3-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Kuwaiti Kazma (1-3). Al Hilal managed to secure a 5-point victory 92-87 on Monday. The best player for the winners was center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Canadian-Saudi Arabian guard Khalid Abdel-Gabar (188-1990, college: Windsor) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Kevin Murphy (197-1990, college: Tenn Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Abdulaziz Al-Hamidi (184-1987) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Al Hilal and five Kazma players scored in double figures. Defending Saudi Arabian champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Gorgan. Loser Kazma dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Al Karameh. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
