Regular Season Round 6: Heat - Dragons 83-85

The most exciting game of round 6 in the VBA took place in Saigon. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-bestHeat (6-4) to third ranked Dragons (4-3) 85-83 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Heat. They outrebounded Heat 53-38 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Karachi Edo (196-1994, college: Fresno St.) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 25 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) chipped in 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Edo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Dragons' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American Davon Dillard (196-1996, college: Shaw) with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international power forward Vinh Nguyen Huynh Phu (203-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Heat players scored in double figures. Dragons have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory Dragons went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Dolphins. Defending champion Heat keeps the second place with four games lost.
