There was a minor upset when much higher rankedBank of Taiwan (18-10) was defeated by fourth ranked Taiwan Beer (12-16) 88-71 on Sunday. Taiwan Beer looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Mongolian guard Cheng-An Hsieh (190-2000) stepped up and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Hung-Hsing Wu (202-1989) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side forward Han Kuo (195-1998) responded with 9 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Chia-He Chang (188-1996) scored 9 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Taiwan Beer maintains fourth place with 12-16 record. Loser Bank of Taiwan keeps the second position with ten games lost.
