Regular Season Round 23: N.Taipei CTBC - Taipei TM 89-91

Important game to mention about was the one when sixth ranked Mars (10-20) saved a 2-point victory edging 5th ranked DEA (14-15) 91-89 on Wednesday evening. It was a great evening for Cypriot-American center Darral Willis (206-1996, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Sheng-Ju Ting (174-1998, college: St.Francis, IL) helped adding 12 points and 10 assists. Mars' coach Hao-Cheng Hsu allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Mohammad Gadiaga (188-1998) responded with 25 points and Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (208-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Taipei TM maintains sixth place with 10-20 record. N.Taipei CTBC at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Taipei TM will play against league's leader Taiwan Beer L. in Taoyuan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. N.Taipei CTBC will play on the road against Lioneers (#3) in Hsinchu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
