Regular Season Round 22: Lioneers - N.Taipei CTBC 103-99

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Lioneers' (15-12) victory over 5th ranked DEA (14-14) 103-99. Lioneers made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 N.Taipei CTBC turnovers. N.Taipei CTBC was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Drew Pember (211-2000, college: UNC Asheville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Croatian center Marin Maric (211-1994, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Five Lioneers players scored in double figures. The former international forward Mohammad Gadiaga (188-1998) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (208-1992) added 20 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for N.Taipei CTBC. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Lioneers moved-up to third place. N.Taipei CTBC at the other side keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Lioneers will play against league's leader Taiwan Beer L. in Taoyuan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. N.Taipei CTBC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Taipei Taipei TM.
