Very important is a loss of second rankedKeelung BK (5-5) against fourth ranked Taiwan Beer (5-4) on Sunday night. Keelung BK was crushed by Taiwan Beer 97-64 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. Taiwan Beer outrebounded Keelung BK 54-28 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Taiwan Beer looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Gerard Tarin (205-1996, college: Nova SE) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and Vincentian forward Brendon Smart (198-1995) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Tarin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Taiwan Beer players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Kuang-Chien Chiang (184-1998) responded with 17 points (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Hung-Yu Huang (185-1999) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiwan Beer moved-up to second place. Loser Keelung BK dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Yulon Luxgen.
