Regular Season Round 7: Pilots - Ghosthawks 100-98

Second-ranked Ghosthawks (5-5) gave a tough game to leader Pilots (10-0) in Taoyuan on Saturday. Pilots managed to secure only two-point victory 100-98. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ghosthawks. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American center Alec Brown (216-1992, college: Green Bay) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. International center Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) helped adding 23 points and 4 assists. Four Pilots players scored in double figures. At the losing side American DeMon Brooks (202-1992, college: Davidson) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Mao-Wei Ku (175-1999) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Ghosthawks' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Pilots have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Ghosthawks at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. Pilots are looking forward to face Fubon Braves (#3) in Taipei in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ghosthawks will play at home against Fubon Braves and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
