Regular Season Round 21: Taiwan Beer L. - Lioneers 95-83

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Lioneers' (10-22) loss to sixth ranked Leopards (13-16) 83-95 on Saturday. Taiwan Beer L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Lithuanian center Egidijus Mockevicius (208-1992, college: Evansville) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) chipped in 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Leopards players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-1998, college: SEMO) with 23 points and 5 assists and American forward Nate Laszewski (208-1999, college: Notre Dame) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Lioneers' coach Milan Mitrovic tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Leopards have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 13-16 record. Loser Lioneers stay at the bottom position with 22 games lost. Taiwan Beer L. will meet league's second-placed Dreamers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lioneers will play against N.Taipei CTBC (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
