Very important is a loss of third ranked Aquas (16-15) against sixth ranked Leopards (12-15) on Friday night. Aquas were defeated by Leopards in a tough game 103-107. Taiwan Beer L. forced 19 Kaohsiung A. turnovers. Strangely Kaohsiung A. outrebounded Taiwan Beer L. 49-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. Kaohsiung A. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) who scored that evening 32 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and international point guard Jin-Wei Gao (175-2000) supported him with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists by American power forward Kaleb Wesson (208-1999, college: Ohio St.) did not help to save the game for Kaohsiung A.. The former international guard Huan-Ya Yu (182-1993) added 21 points and 4 assists for Taiwan Beer L.. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Aquas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leopards have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 12-15 record. Kaohsiung A. lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with 15 games lost. Taiwan Beer L. will play against higher ranked Kaohsiung A. (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kaohsiung A. will have a break next round.
