Regular Season Round 7: Chunghua T. - Taipower 59-55

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th placed Taipower's (0-21) loss to third ranked Chunghwa Telecom (7-14) 55-59 on Sunday. Chunghua T. outrebounded Taipower 43-30 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-1992) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-1993) helped adding 18 points and 13 rebounds. Chunghwa Telecom's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Qin-Yu Huang responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Rui-Zhen Song scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Chunghua T. maintains third place with 7-14 record having twelve points less than leader Taiyuan T. Taipower lost their twenty first game in a row. They still close the standings. Chunghua T. will again meet bottom-ranked Taipower (#4) in the next round. Taipower will play against the league's second-placed Cathay Life and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
