An interesting game forChanghua (9-9) which played against one of their biggest challengers Taiwan Beer (10-8). Second ranked Changhua managed to get a 11-point victory 92-81 . Changhua outrebounded Taiwan Beer 44-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. American power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 23 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Li Lin (180-2001) supported him with 16 points and 6 assists. Five Changhua players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by Gambian forward Joof Alasan (205-2002) did not help to save the game for Taiwan Beer . The former international center Shih-En Fan (198-1994) added 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Changhua went down to third position due to points difference. Taiwan Beer lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with eight games lost.
