An exciting game was when First rankedTaiyuan Textile faced 3rd ranked Chunghwa Telecom . Taiyuan Textile (11-1) defeated Chunghwa Telecom (4-8) 62-52 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chunghwa Telecom. Taiyuan T. outrebounded Chunghua T. 55-32 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of German center Marie Guelich (194-1994, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 15 rebounds. International center Tieh Lin (182-1999) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-1992) replied with 11 points and 6 rebounds and guard Shi-Zan Xu (164) added 5 points and 8 assists in the effort for Chunghua T.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiyuan Textile have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Taiyuan T. maintains first position with 11-1 record. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost.
