Regular Season Round 15: Tainan GH - Fubon Braves 110-114

An interesting game for Fubon Braves (8-8) which played against second-best GhostHawks (12-8). Third ranked Fubon Braves managed to get a 4-point victory 114-110. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of GhostHawks. Fubon Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fubon Braves made 8 blocks. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Nick King (201-1995, college: MTSU) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Jeff Withey (213-1990, college: Kansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) answered with 29 points and guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham) added 21 points and 10 assists in the effort for Tainan. Five Fubon Braves and four Tainan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves maintains third place with 8-8 record having ten points less than leader Pilots. Tainan at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Fubon Braves are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Steelers (#4) in Kaohsiung in the next round. Tainan will play again on the road against Fubon Braves in Taipei and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
