Regular Season Round 15: N.Taipei CTBC - Taiwan Beer L. 95-89

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Leopards (9-12) were defeated by fifth ranked N.Taipei CTBC (11-12) 95-89 on Saturday. N.Taipei CTBC outrebounded Taiwan Beer L. 58-42 including 16 on the offensive glass. N.Taipei CTBC looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (208-1992) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds. American point guard Daron Russell (180-1998, college: Maryland) helped adding 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four N.Taipei CTBC players scored in double figures. N.Taipei CTBC's coach Momir Ratkovic used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was international point guard Jin-Wei Gao (175-2000) with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Devin Williams (206-1994, college: WVU) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. N.Taipei CTBC have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Taipei TM. Defending champion Taiwan Beer L. dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. N.Taipei CTBC will meet higher ranked Dreamers (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taiwan Beer L. will play against Lioneers in Hsinchu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
