Regular Season Round 13: Taipei TM - N.Taipei CTBC 72-69

A very close game was the one between Taipei TM and N.Taipei CTBC. Fourth ranked Taipei TM (10-9) got a very close victory over 5th ranked N.Taipei CTBC (7-12). Taipei TM managed to escape with a 3-point win 72-69 on Friday evening. American point guard Ray McCallum (191-1991, college: Detroit) nailed 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized American swingman Kenneth Chien (185-1995, college: Broward CC) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Taipei TM players scored in double figures. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Nysier Brooks (213-1996, college: Ole Miss, agency: Slash Sports) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively for N.Taipei CTBC in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Taipei TM maintains fourth place with 10-9 record. Loser N.Taipei CTBC dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Taipei TM will meet higher ranked Kaohsiung A. (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. N.Taipei CTBC will play against Taiwan Beer L. in Taoyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
