Regular Season Round 12: Lioneers - Taipei TM 117-105

There was a minor upset when 4th rankedTaipei TM (8-9) was defeated by bottom-ranked Lioneers (5-13) 117-105 on Saturday. Lioneers made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Taipei TM turnovers. Strangely Taipei TM outrebounded Lioneers 55-42 including 20 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Landers Nolley II (201-2000, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording 41 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Kuan-Hsuan Lu (182-1995) who added 23 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Malcolm Miller (201-1993, college: Holy Cross) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds and his fellow American import center Thomas Robinson (203-1991, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Lioneers maintains seventh position with 5-13 record. Loser Taipei TM keeps the fourth place with nine games lost.
