Regular Season Round 9: Steelers - Fubon Braves 96-103

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Fubon Braves' (6-7) victory over bottom-ranked Steelers (1-10) 103-96 on Sunday. Fubon Braves forced 20 Steelers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fubon Braves made 8 blocks. American forward Nick King (201-1995, college: MTSU) nailed a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import center Jeff Withey (213-1990, college: Kansas) accounted for 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Canadian center Jordy Tshimanga (211-1996, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 26 rebounds and 4 blocks and American point guard Isaiah Briscoe (190-1996, college: Kentucky) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Steelers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves moved-up to second place. Steelers lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Fubon Braves will meet Tainan (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Steelers will play against Tainan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
