Regular Season Round 5: Pilots - Steelers 91-74

An exciting game was when First ranked Pilots faced 4th placed Steelers. Pilots (7-2) defeated Steelers (0-5) 91-74. Pilots made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while Steelers only scored five points from the stripe. International Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) stepped up and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (206-1990, college: Ball St.) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian center Jordy Tshimanga (211-1996, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 30 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and the former international center Fan Po-Yen Chen (195-2000) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Pilots and four Steelers players scored in double figures. Steelers' coach Ta-Tsung Chiu tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Pilots have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-2 record. Loser Steelers still closes the standings with five games lost. Pilots will meet league's second-placed Fubon Braves in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Steelers will have a break next round.
