Regular Season Round 5: Tungsan - Tagawa 69-80

Bottom-rankedTungsan is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their second consecutive match to third ranked Tagawa (4-1) 80-69 on Wednesday evening. Tagawa forced 24 Tungsan turnovers and outrebounded them 50-37 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Harihaaran Parathy nailed 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Shi-Yu Ng (197-2000) accounted for 17 points and 13 rebounds. Four Tagawa players scored in double figures. Michael Kankam came up with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the former international Zhen Sim (-1998) added 14 points respectively for Tungsan in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tagawa . They moved-up to second place. Loser Tungsan still closes the standings with two games lost.
