Regular Season Round 4: Xin Hua - Tungsan 93-78

Xin Hua 's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Singapore, where they defeated Tungsan (0-1) 93-78 . Xin Hua dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tungsan 's 38. They outrebounded Tungsan 51-37 including a 41-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cheng Shan Tan stepped up and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Terry Lua (191-1997) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. The former international Zhen Sim (-1998) responded with 18 points and Michael Kankam scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Five Xin Hua and four Tungsan players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Xin Hua (1-2) left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Tong Whye. Tungsan at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost.
