Regular Season Round 7: Al Sadd - Al Khor 93-77

Date: December 8, 2025
There was no surprise in Doha where bottom-ranked Al Khor (0-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Al Sadd (4-2) 93-77 on Monday. It was a great evening for American guard Steven Green (196-1993, college: OKBU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import center Malik Toppin (206-1997, college: Salem) helped adding 23 points and 9 rebounds. Toppin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Al Sadd players scored in double figures. Al Sadd's coach Vassilis Bratsiakos used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Jesse Jones (183, college: Bridgeport) responded with 34 points (!!!) and guard Nigel Johnson (187-1995, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Sadd moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Wakrah. Al Khor lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Qatar Club. Al Sadd's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Gharafa.
