No shocking result in a game when seventh rankedAl Ahli (2-3) crushed bottom-ranked Qatar Club (0-5) in Doha 114-83 on Thursday. Al Ahli looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American guard Nigel Johnson (187-1995, college: Virginia) nailed a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Antwaine Wiggins (203-1988, college: Charleston) accounted for 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Worth to mention Johnson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Five Al Ahli D. players scored in double figures. American-Jamaican guard Josh Nicholas (190-1998, college: ULM, agency: Allstars Agency) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 7 assists and international center Tyler Harris (208-1993, college: Auburn) added 26 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Qatar Club in the defeat. Al Ahli moved-up to sixth place. Loser Qatar Club still closes the standings with five games lost.
