Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Doha:Al Gharafa (#7) and Qatar Club (#6). Qatar Club was defeated at home 73-83 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Al Gharafa dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Qatar Club 's 36. The former international forward Nedim Muslic (196-1998) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Mohd Mohmmed (203-1982) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Al Gharafa players scored in double figures. Serbian Dejan Janjic (198-1995) responded with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese center Oumar Seck (205-1988) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Gharafa (4-9) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Qatar Club. Qatar Club lost fourth consecutive game.
