The most exciting game of round 9 in the QBL took place in Doha. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th rankedQatar Club (3-5) to third ranked Al Sadd (6-2) 93-91 on Saturday evening. Al Sadd looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a good game for American Grant Dressler (201-1997, college: Chaminade) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. International forward Babacar Dieng (196-1997) contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Serbian Dejan Janjic (198-1995) answered with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Jordan Rawls (188-2001, college: NM State) added 18 points and 6 assists in the effort for Qatar Club. Four Al Sadd and five Qatar Club players scored in double figures. Al Sadd moved-up to second place. Qatar Club at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost.
