Very important is a home loss of second ranked Al Arabi (4-2) against ninth ranked Al Gharafa (1-5) on Sunday night. Host Al Arabi was defeated by Al Gharafa in a tough game in Doha 83-90. The former international forward Nedim Muslic (196-1998) fired 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Lebanese swingman Mark Al-Khoury (197-1998) chipped in 27 points. Bahrain point guard Mustafa Ali (177-2002) produced 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-1988) added 18 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Al Arabi players scored in double figures. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Al Gharafa left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Al Khor. Loser Al Arabi keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Al Sadd and Al Shamal. Al Gharafa's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Ahli.
