Regular Season Round 4: Qatar Club - Al Shamal 83-87

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Doha: Al Shamal (#8) and Qatar Club (#5). Qatar Club was defeated at home 83-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. American forward Emmanuel Egbuta (201-1996, college: Tennessee St.) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Makye Richards (188, college: Xavier, LA) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian Dejan Janjic (198-1995) produced 31 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Jordan Rawls (198-1998, college: Allegheny) added 29 points respectively for lost side. Al Shamal (1-2) left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Qatar Club. Al Shamal's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Gharafa.
