No shocking result in a game when third rankedKings (6-2) beat 12th ranked Bossing (2-7) in Caloocan City 115-108 on Friday. Ginebra Kings made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Ginebra Kings outrebounded Blackwater 44-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. Ginebra Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Naturalized American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) nailed 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and guard Scottie Thompson (188-1993) accounted for 19 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Kings players scored in double figures. Kings' coach Tim Cone used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Robert Upshaw (213-1994, college: Washington) came up with 43 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Sedrick Barefield (188-1996, college: Utah) added 25 points and 12 assists respectively for Blackwater in the defeat.
