Regular Season Round 12: Hotshots - FiberXers 106-94

There was no surprise in Pasig City where 10th rankedFiberXers (2-6) were defeated by seventh ranked Hotshots (4-4) 106-94 on Sunday. Hotshots made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Hotshots outrebounded FiberXers 48-31 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Hotshots especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas, agency: Diamond Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized American forward Zavier Lucero (198-1999, college: Cal Maritime) who added 17 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Spanish guard Juan Gomez De Liano (184-1999) with 22 points and forward Justine Arana (201-1999) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four FiberXers players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hotshots maintains seventh position with 4-4 record, which they share with SM Beermen. Loser FiberXers keep the tenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Titan UGR.
