No shocking result in a game when third rankedBolts (4-1) beat 7th ranked Giga (2-2) in Manila 110-106 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Meralco Bolts dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Giga 's 42 and made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Meralco Bolts looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by TNT Tropang 's players. It was an exceptional evening for American center Marvin Jones (213-1993, college: Texas Southern) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds. Guard CJ Cansino (188-1999) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Bolts players scored in double figures. South Sudanese-American center Bol Bol (218-1999, college: Oregon) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and naturalized Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-1996, college: CBU) added 21 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for TNT Tropang in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Meralco Bolts moved-up to second place, which they share with NLEX RW. Loser Giga keeps the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Ginebra Kings.
